So this is going to be different that what I normally send.
It’s Monday. And if you are like me you could use a bit of encouragement.
You don’t know me, well not personally. I am a bi-vocational ministry leader who also serves in areas of outreach, marketing, communications, creative and some global ministry networking for reaching those who do not yet know Jesus.
I recently stepped away from a church re-plant in the DeLand, FL. Our first big decision to bring on a kid’s ministry and worship leader turned out to be too much change for our church. To different of a direction. It’s an older congregation averaging late 60’s and up. Some young families.
My wife and I are praying about what’s next in ministry. I have served the church for more than 20 years. Mostly in marketing, communications, and innovation. And the last several years in an XP role and about 4 trying to step into a lead pastor role. Once during the pandemic in Kodiak, AK, next I stepped into a role and discovered 4M in secret debt. No one in the congregation was aware. And the attendance went from 800 to 200 during the pandemic, before we arrived.
I look up and ask God. “Are you working on me. Or are you giving me hard assignments because you know me.” I have bold faith. I will do what’s best, right, true, and you get it. You understand. He connected me with The Chosen TV Series for a season, for global ministry collaboration. And I loved it. More on that later.
