This week in São Paulo reminded me of the profound simplicity of Jesus’ mission: to reach every one. Every conversation, every gathering, every act of service felt like a piece of a much larger mosaic—a vision where every individual is seen, valued, and given the opportunity to encounter the transformative love of Christ.
I came to São Paulo as part of the Come And See Foundation’s work with The Chosen TV series. Together, we are driven by a shared purpose: to share the story of Jesus with a world that desperately needs Him. As I served alongside leaders in Brazil, I saw how this vision is more than words—it’s a ministry of multiplication, embodied in churches, leaders, and communities working tirelessly to make Jesus known.
The Power of Multiplication
The Bible Society of Brazil, under the visionary leadership of Erni Seibert, exemplifies the ministry of multiplication—distributing over 200 million Bibles and uniting churches and organizations to bring the transformative Word of God to every corner of society. This spirit of generosity and interconnectedness inspires efforts like bringing The Chosen in Portuguese to communities along the Amazon River this Christmas. It’s a work in progress, but the vision is clear: to reach every one, everywhere. Stay tuned!

Another sample of the many inspiring conversations I had was with Pastor Abe Huber, a leader who doesn’t just talk about multiplication—he lives it. His Apostolic Discipleship Model (MDA) at Paz Church São Paulo is a blueprint for how the Gospel grows through connection. His vision of multiplying cell groups and empowering one-on-one discipleship has transformed communities, starting in Santarém with 45,000 members and spreading through hundreds of daughter churches.
Listening to Abe, I couldn’t help but reflect on the feeding of the 5,000—how God takes what seems small and multiplies it to meet the needs of every one.

Then there’s Pastor Carlito Paes of City Church in São José dos Campos. Carlito’s vision extends far beyond a traditional church model. His congregation has grown to 28 campuses, serving thousands each week with a holistic approach to ministry—through education, sports, and discipleship. Carlito reminded me that the ministry of multiplication isn’t just about numbers; it’s about creating spaces where every individual feels they belong.
A Digital Ministry of Multiplication
The ministry of multiplication takes many forms, and I saw this firsthand in my conversations with Nando Valente of YouVersion Brazil. Over 64 million Brazilians have downloaded the Bible App, with more than a million engaging daily. What struck me most wasn’t the sheer scale but the intentionality—Bible Plans created in Portuguese, local partnerships that amplify the message, and a vision that every one can experience God’s Word personally.
Nando said something that stayed with me: “This isn’t just about technology. It’s about transformation.”
Every One Matters
One of the most memorable evenings of the week was my time on the Pod Creio Talk Show, where we explored how God is moving in São Paulo and beyond. There was an energy in the room—a shared belief that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Later, I had the honor of spending time with Counselwoman Rute Cortez at her church, Igreja Belem. Her leadership is a beautiful example of what happens when faith meets action. Rute carries a bold vision for her city, and her ministry reflects her deep conviction that every one matters. Whether through her role in government or her spiritual leadership, she is a voice for the Kingdom in both public and private spaces.

A Vision for Every One
As I reflect on this week, I’m reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:19—“Go and make disciples of all nations.” This is the ministry of multiplication. It’s about more than programs or platforms; it’s about every one. It’s about the one disciple who goes on to disciple others. It’s about the one Bible Plan that speaks directly to someone’s heart. It’s about the one leader who invests their life in building up the next generation.
In São Paulo, I saw this vision alive. From the cell groups of Paz Church to the digital discipleship of YouVersion, from the community impact of City Church to the fearless leadership of Rute Cortez, every one I met carried the conviction that the Gospel is for every one.
