We know free speech is crucial — it’s who we are and what we were founded on. But inciting of violence is not free speech.
The Supreme Court already ruled and it’s not protected (Brandenburg v. Ohio, 1969).
This is a draft for ‘Accountability for Incitement to Violence Act’ because this has to stop. Our media needs accountability. Our politicians and govt leaders and even influencers that call for violence, all need to know they are not free to infringe on the rights and lives of others.
Here’s the deal:
- No more public officials or media figures calling for violence.
- If they do, there are consequences: fines, loss of office, loss of contracts/licenses. Criminal and civil liability.
- Protect citizens while keeping true free speech intact.
This isn’t about left or right. It’s about protecting people. If words have the power of life and death, then we’ve got to take responsibility for how they’re used.
Do something. Write your state rep and the president. Speak clearly. We have to have action.
Find your Representative, write them: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
Find your Senators, write them: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
Then write the President:

We have to stand for accountability, and protecting our communities. We can not wait for someone else to do it.
