Now available in all of Alaska: Starlink from SpaceX

Just one year before the project became a reality and prior to receiving a green-light with grant funding from the Administration for Native Americans, ANA, Dorinda Kewan, Mayor of Port Lions, AK, expressed her excitement for this next step in connectivity.

She stated “it will be a game-changer for her community” and emphasized”many residents have struggled with slow and unreliable internet connections, which have limited their ability to participate fully in the digital age, stating that it will help level the playing field and give them a better chance at success in the future.”

SpaceX is honored to share that Starlink, its satellite internet service, is now available in remote areas of Alaska. This development will bring high-speed internet access to underserved communities in the state, providing a much-needed boost to education, healthcare, and community economic opportunities.
