LEESBURG, Fla. — November 8, 2025 — The streets of downtown Leesburg came alive this morning with red, white, and blue as the annual Veterans Day Parade rolled down Main Street in heartfelt tribute to those who have served our country.

Among the many local groups who joined in the celebration, Mt. Dora VFW and the 1st Florida Top Hands Riding Club, led by Ginger Patrick, drew loud cheers and warm applause. Mounted in full Western attire, riders carried the American flag and U.S. Armed Services Flags, (Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force) high as they made their way through the heart of town — a living symbol of gratitude and freedom.

Families lined the sidewalks, children waved small flags, and veterans stood proudly as the riders passed by. The sight of horses and riders honoring those who’ve worn the uniform added a distinctly Florida touch to the patriotic morning.

The parade featured a mix of community organizations, marching bands, first responders, and veteran groups — all coming together to celebrate service and sacrifice. For many in attendance, the Florida Top Hands’ presence captured the spirit of unity and appreciation that defines Veterans Day in Leesburg.

As one onlooker put it, “It’s good to see cowboys and veterans sharing the same street — both representing courage and heart.”
