When God Moves, Clarity Matters. It’s About Stewardship.

By Larry Lundstrom | CLLCTV.org

For what seemed like just a few months ago, I stood outside a converted music venue and gaming tournament hub in downtown Santa Ana. It was barely 7 a.m., but volunteers were already circling up to pray. Down in Oceanside, a few hours south, another team was transforming a previous church space into the remarkable Mariner’s Church warm and inviting experience.

Two new campuses—launched in faith, led by humble teams, and fueled by a conviction that God is still writing new stories up and down the West Coast.

What’s happening right now isn’t flashy. It’s clear and simple. More important, it’s real. Under Eric Geiger’s shepherd leadership, the church isn’t just adding services—it’s planting the gospel in communities that need light.

And here’s what hit me: with every new launch, every new soul walking through the doors, the need for clarity doesn’t decrease—it multiplies.

A quick shout-out to Andy Pisciotti, now at Centerpoint Church in Murrieta, CA. He and the team delivered consistent above-expectation experiences for ministry engagement and church environments.

From Overflowing Rooms to Measurable Fruit

In Santa Ana, the launch weekend was electric—services filled up, families came forward for prayer, and the room felt alive with anticipation. But we all know: a packed room doesn’t always mean a healthy church.

The real question is:
Are people actually taking next steps?
Are we building disciples or just drawing a crowd?

That’s where the right tools matter.

We’ve got a preview of a dashboard wireframe — just for churches. This is a preview of a tool we rolled out while launching campuses and expanding online reach all with the goal of bringing clarity to spiritual next steps, engagement, and healthy ministry.

The Dashboard That’s Helping Us Stay Aligned

While serving with the church marketing and communications team we put in place a WIG (Wildly Important Goal) Dashboard to track exactly that. One clear objective: “To see 2% of disengaged individuals move into an engaged church experience by December 31.”

Simple. Focused. Shared by everyone.

It doesn’t just measure how many people showed up last weekend. It tracks spiritual movement:

  • Who’s taking a next step into community?
  • Who’s serving, giving, growing?
  • Where are people getting stuck?

And it’s not just about results. It measures the inputs—the stuff staff and volunteers can actually act on each week:

  • Are we extending personal invites?
  • Are people filling out connect cards?
  • Are leaders being encouraged and prayed for?

It’s not flashy. But it’s necessary.

Because when God brings growth—new people, new campuses, new momentum—we owe it to Him and to them to pay attention to the fruit.

Churches Need Fewer Reports. And Better Questions.

Here’s the truth: most churches don’t need more spreadsheets or dashboards. They need one honest place where they can see:

  • What’s working
  • What’s stuck
  • What’s next

They need something that drives real conversations between lead pastors and KidMin directors, between worship leaders and small group teams. They need something that doesn’t just measure—but leads.

And they need it before things feel off.

Don’t Confuse Activity with Impact

What I’ve learned—over and over—is that it’s easy to be busy and still be off-mission.

Crowds don’t mean discipleship. Movement doesn’t mean maturity.

But when we pair God’s movement with clear eyes and honest measures, something beautiful happens:

We start to see not just who showed up… but who’s being changed.

If your church is growing—or wants to—don’t just pray for fruit. Get ready to invest in people and healthy leadership and clarify a path to measure it.

Because when God moves, we better be paying attention.
