Like an ocean, or many.

Serving with Come and See Foundation is already one of the greatest joys and an adventure in my over 25 years of ministry. I am grateful.

Many of you know, when I was at the age of 25, I lost my parents, and then soon after, Myra and I watched cancer take our son.

Losing a parent suddenly was shocking but I somehow was able to reconcile, process, and put them to rest. But losing a 3-year child was entirely different.

I recall pleading with God to allow just one more moment, just one more hug from Colby.

I asked God to move this mountain. It was real and yes completely immovable. But, I believed He, Our Father God, could in fact move it.

What happened after was very much a personal miracle, an answer to prayer, a move of The Holy Spirit, and something I can only describe as what seemed like an ocean, or many, all at once, pouring through my car in that day in a Texas rainstorm.

The very real presence of God’s love, warmth, kindness and an embrace would confirm and overwhelm me at the same time, that God loves us, and that our son Colby was now experiencing a joy and love that I couldn’t even begin to imagine.

That was enough for me. More than enough. My prayer was answered. What’s odd, I have never had the desire to pray that prayer again. It was exactly what I was asking for and maybe more important, all I needed.

I shared some of this story and answer to prayer in a Come and See blog post titled “Only God!” You can read the full story below and join the now over 110,000 prayer warriors for The Chosen!
